Common Concerns
-
Headaches, too.
Acupuncture is most commonly studied for treating pain, and I think this is truly where the modality shines. Whether you are dealing with chronic pain, acute injury, inflammatory disease, or autoimmune conditions, acupuncture (and herbs) can provide significant relief and even resolution of your pain.
Pain is a consequence of stagnation--a lack of movement. In my work I often explore the emotional or energetic underpinnings of pain in an attempt to unravel any patterns in your life that may continue to create pain in the body.
-
Chinese medicine understands that the mind-spirit is intimately connected to the material body. By adjusting energies in the body we can provide profound changes to the state of the spirit.
One of my favorite things to treat is "not feeling like myself". When you just feel off, acupuncture is a fantastic tool for reconnecting with your essence.
-
Treatment often includes cupping or gua sha, as well as herbal/supplement recommendations. Immunity issues are often related to boundaries.
-
Sometimes acupuncture alone is adequate to address indigestion, constipation, diarrhea, gas, bloating, weight gain, and food cravings...but dietary changes and supplements are usually recommended as well! And I always look at: what exactly are you having trouble digesting, in life?
-
Including painful or irregular periods, fertility challenges (male and female), hormonal imbalances, and menopause symptoms. Note that herbal formulas are often a critical component of these treatment plans. Reproductive issues are complex and typically require at least three months of treatment.
-
If you notice sagging, fine lines and wrinkles, a lack of tone, or a lack of luster, the Acupuncture Facelift can provide incredible results as part of a healthy aging regimen.
For complex skin concerns like eczema, severe acne, and rashes I generally refer out to a TCM dermatology specialist. Please contact me if you need a referral.

Acupuncture and herbal medicine have been the primary healthcare for an entire continent for over 3,000 years. I have treated a range of strange and stubborn conditions that Western allopathic medicine could not address. Schedule a Discovery Call if you have a health concern not listed here that you wish to discuss before beginning treatment.

“When I see her for acupuncture, it is so much more then a regular treatment. She is able to intuit what is going on for me and she offers sage advice, ideas and resources. I never leave a session without a moment of clarity, or action steps to move forward, whether it be for my health or my life goals. She offers magic, empathy and ideas of what I can do to improve all areas of my life.”
— Laurie
